Advanced Electromagnetics

Objectives: 

This course treats two problems of advanced electromagnetics by way of small project assignments. These projects use existing numerical tools. The following topics are covered:

  • Interaction between fields and biological media including the SAR calculation for a person (using the FDTD method)
  • Study of Swiss rolls as a typical metamaterial example (using the Fast Multipole Method and FMM software)
