Emmeric Tanghe

Emmeric Tanghe was born in Tielt, Belgium, on 31 August 1982. He received the M. Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Ghent University (Belgium) in July 2005. From September 2005 to May 2011, he was a research assistant at iMinds-UGent/INTEC (Department of Information Technology) of the same university. His scientific work focused on the modelling of indoor and outdoor propagation through field measurements. This work led to a Ph. D. degree in May 2011. Since May 2011, he is post-doctoral researcher at the same institution. Since October 2012, he is a Post-Doctoral Fellow of the FWO-V (Research Foundation - Flanders). He continues his work in propagation modelling, covering in- and outdoor propagation as well as in-, on-, and off-body propagation for wireless body area networks and medical implants.
